>You will need
cork for the body (the better the wine the better the cork) 1/4” round x 3”

>Slit cork for hook 1/3rd down lenghways. 1/8" deep

>Glue a kink shank #4 hook in the slit you just made. Super glue is best.

>Shape the cork resembling a salmon fly body with a dremmel tool or lathe or a knife.

>Paint the body orange.

>Paint the last 2/3rd yellow.

>Paint the butt end black.

>Cut cork for spent wing design.

>Clean hair for wings. (horse mane, goat, or elk)

>Twist the hair so it fans out and insert into cork then glue.

>*Apply decals design on the top and bottom of fly using ink tissue paper to transfer design.

>Tie off body with filament.

>Shellac fly three times.

>Trim wings so they have a rounded V shape.

* Hand paint the design on the top and bottom of the fly since the decals are not available.
